Kitty Caley’s life was forever changed when her only child Chip was diagnosed with AIDS. Through her son’s long illness and eventual death, she was given a haunting insight into a disease that still remains misunderstood as the death toll continues to climb.

Kitty found an outlet for her grief in the writing of her experiences—and a way to reach out to help others. Participating in volunteer work in Dallas and Fort Worth for the AIDS Resource Center and AIDS Related Organizations. She also gives talks on AIDS.
